Best Western London Peckham Hotel

We had another brilliant stay, this time celebrating our first wedding anniversary. The room was spacious and well worth the money, and having luggage storage was incredibly useful. The staff were extremely friendly. We'll be back next year!

The bus connection into the city was excellent, with an easy direct ride of 35-40 minutes. Breakfast was okay and as expected, but exactly the same every day. We stayed five nights at this average hotel a bit outside central London. The rooms seemed partly renovated and were clean, but the beds were too wobbly for us. Our room had a king and a single bed and was so cramped you could barely walk past someone. Housekeeping was unreliable: sometimes we didn't get enough fresh towels, and on other days there were no fresh coffee cups. The old bathroom light and fan unit was noisy. The windows wouldn't open at all, so there was no way to air the room.

The owners and employees were very nice and helpful, and the rooms were cute and very clean, though small, as they often are in Europe. There's a nice restaurant on site, and the bus to central London stops right outside the hotel. It was farther from the city than we'd expected, and construction was going on, though it may be finished now. There are also a lot of stairs into the hotel, which could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues, especially with the construction. I'd definitely go back.

For London, the rooms are good value: compact, clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was tiny, the shower drained poorly and the extractor fan didn't work. Nothing was terrible, but a few simple fixes could make the hotel a lot better.
