Bowden Court - Hostel

The advertised meals included aren't what you get here, and there's no kitchen, despite what booking.com says. Breakfast was a stale mini muffin, a piece of fruit, maybe a boiled egg, and scraps of cheap cereal. Milk, a basic item, was often missing too. The spreads came in shared jars covered in fingerprints, with hundreds of people dipping into them. Completely unhygienic. For what they charge, the food felt miserly, almost like daylight robbery, and nowhere near worth the price. There are nearby places for half the cost that offer a proper breakfast and a kitchen. Don't be fooled by the high Booking.com scores. The photos show what the experience is really like.

It's an amazing place to live, with a professional team who look after guests and help with even the smallest things. Ivan T and Chevelle are especially helpful, and the team members are wonderful people.

Meeting students from different backgrounds was one of the best parts of living at Bowden Court. The shared spaces make it easy to connect, and the atmosphere is sociable. Staff are friendly and ready to help, and having meals included makes everyday life simpler. The accommodation is clean, maintained well, and has great facilities for students. Shops, restaurants, and public transport are easy to reach, which is really convenient day to day. It's a good balance of comfort, affordability, and community for students. Highly recommend it.

I first came across Bowden Court a few years ago, and I keep staying here whenever I'm in the city. This time, I wanted to give five stars for the fantastic work the new manager Chevel has done. You can see it as soon as you walk in. The place is clean, the food and atmosphere are great, the residents are lovely, and the customer service is a ten across the board. Earlier visits felt cost effective, but now I almost feel I'm not paying enough. Thanks, Chevel and team. I'll be back soon. 👏🏽
