Bridge Lane Nursery has built a real sense of community through the little things as well as its daily care. Parents get thoughtful developmental updates, there’s a free first-aid session, and you can see the quiet effort behind it all. Meals are cooked on site with quality ingredients, and the children can try gardening, music, yoga and languages. The opening hours cover the day’s demands for working families, while staff will discreetly let you know if a child is missing their beloved parents too much. The care and education are outstanding, backed by repeated Ofsted “Outstanding” ratings in 2010, 2015 and 2020. The team is trained, thoroughly vetted and clearly devoted, which makes safety feel part of the everyday work. Kath understands children with both insight and tenderness. She notices subtle changes in their mood and development, and her thoughtful, timely advice is reassuring for busy families. Paul brings energy and optimism, with years of teaching experience and the calm confidence of a trained educator. He makes learning and fun sit comfortably together, with clear structure and warmth. From the moment our child started, Kath and Paul showed that they really know the children and treat them as individuals. They do much more than keep an eye on routines. Bridge Lane feels like the kind of nursery early childhood care should be. Our child is cherished, encouraged, kept safe and prepared for school and life. We feel fortunate to have found it and recommend it wholeheartedly.
