Bright Studio Flat in Knightsbridge

It's right in the centre, close to shops, transport and cafes, yet tucked away on a quiet street with practically no noise. The rooms are spacious and clean, with all you need, though a little dated. Most of the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating, except for the blonde eastern European lady, who was borderline rude.

I felt misled by this hotel. The room was tiny, claustrophobic and felt uninhabitable, nothing like the photos or description in the advertising, which gave a completely false impression of the space and comfort. When I raised a legitimate complaint, the staff took no accountability and kept pointing to the “non-refundable policy” instead of dealing with the issue or offering a reasonable solution. There was no empathy, professionalism or real attempt to help. I left feeling deceived and deeply disappointed. I'd strongly advise others to avoid it, since what you book isn't what you get.

The staff were wonderful and helpful, and the location was great. The street was quiet, though we could hear a lot of banging and thudding from next door. Our room was a lovely size with wonderful natural light, but it could do with a spruce up: some wallpaper was marked and torn, and the shower was underwhelming. The water pressure was low and it wouldn't get above tepid, which was a shame in cold February. The included afternoon tea was a lovely touch, while the continental breakfast felt overpriced. I'd come again, though a few improvements would be nice.

I couldn't get proper rest during my stay. I could hear people walking in the corridor and above my room throughout the night and into the morning, and doors in the hallway kept slamming, so sleeping was impossible. I only saw the many negative reviews after I'd checked in. I left extremely tired and stressed. What should have been a peaceful, relaxing stay turned into an exhausting experience. The hotel should improve soundproofing and noise control for future guests.
