The hotel is being renovated, and breakfast was very poor: just cheap salami, some cheese and bread, with no fruit or tomatoes. The room looked modern and nice, but it was very cold. I complained twice and nothing was done. The bed was small and uncomfortable. At 7 on Sunday morning, an alarm in the hall woke me up and kept going for about an hour. The doors and walls aren’t soundproof, so noise from the hall and other rooms carries through. The staff were kind, though, and the internet was good.

I booked the room for three days for my son and his friend while they were going to Wireless. It was basic but very clean. The big problem was that when my son asked for toilet roll because there wasn’t any, he was told to buy his own. I was furious. I wish he’d told me while they were there so I could’ve called the manager. I’ve stayed all over the world and never had that happen before. Maybe they took advantage because the boys were young? Bizarre. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The room was quite nice, but the towels were really small and could’ve been bigger. The guy at reception couldn’t have seemed less interested, and just watched us head the wrong way with our big bags.

Great location, but my room wasn’t very clean, with spilled liquid under the desk. I’d asked when booking, but there was no alternative to dairy milk, so I didn’t have breakfast.

A pretty good hotel, about a 15-minute walk from Camden Town or a five-minute bus ride. The bus stop is right next to it, though there’s no underground station there. The only issue was that there was no body soap, shampoo or conditioner, or toothpaste.
