Cedars House Hotel

A very bad "hotel"! The beds, chauffage, windows, toilet and everything else seemed broken. There was no service, and breakfast was bad, with you having to get everything yourself. You can't park your car because the owners are in front of the door. Definitely don't book here!

I don't think this is up to the standard of a 2 star hotel. Having the toilets upstairs is the most annoying part, since you have to climb up whenever you need to use them. I think that could be improved. There is breakfast available in the lounge area, which is commendable.

The room was neat, but Flora gave me the worst customer service. I still don't understand why the receptionist was so rude. I went in to check in for five days and waited over 30 minutes while she talked on the phone. It didn't sound like a work call, and from the language she was using I thought it might have been her husband or someone outside work. When she finished, she didn't say anything, just signaled for me to follow her and showed me a room. I thought that was rude, so I left to find another room for the night. I came back the next morning to ask for a refund for the days I wouldn't be staying. Flora was extremely rude again and told me to go because there was no manager around. She said I'd hear from her in 5-7 working days. It's Thursday today and nobody at the hotel is replying to my emails. I'm still waiting for the £120 refund from cedar house hotel.

The basics were fine, the bedding was clean, the door locked, and breakfast did the job. For £40 a night, that’s a good deal. I still wouldn’t bring my mum here.
