Central Hotel

We got a twin room for £75 after booking just a couple of days before the stay. It was really quiet at the back, especially given the central location, and they let us drop off our bags early. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom’s like a big cupboard, but everything was scrupulously clean and the beds were comfortable. I’d recommend it.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location near St Pancras suited my planned Eurostar travel perfectly. But room 3, on level -1 facing the outside courtyard, felt extremely cramped and like a basement, even though I expected it to be small. The bathroom door had to stay open to stop things getting too damp from the shower, the bed wasn’t comfortable, and I could hear the underground trains. I stayed two nights and had a poor experience. I wouldn’t go back, though other rooms may be better.

The location was great, and the cleaning service was excellent. I stayed for two nights on a business trip and found it good value. My room did have some condensation and I could hear noise from other rooms quite easily. I guess that's because it's an old building.

We had everything we needed for the night, and the bed was so comfortable that I had my best night's sleep in London. It was a cozy place in a handy location. Thanks for the lovely service, we'd happily stay again.
