Central Park Hotel

I was worried after reading some negative reviews, but I'm so glad I stayed. Our renovated triple room on the 5th floor was clean and cozy, with a lovely, peaceful street view. It was quiet at night and our room was far from the renovation work, though we could hear tools starting around 8:30 AM. Since we were heading out for the day then, it wasn't an issue. The neighborhood felt safe and central, close to everything. Queensway and Bayswater stations, Hyde Park, and Kensington Palace were just a few steps away, and the bus stops were only a few minutes off. The hotel is undergoing renovations. Housekeeping came every day and did a great job. The cleaning team were friendly and always smiling. In the room, the bathroom had Rituals toiletries, and there was a Nespresso machine with Arpeggio pods, slippers, and bottled water. The gentleman who checked us in was very professional, if a bit too formal; a warmer welcome would've helped us feel at home. Another lady at the desk, who was Italian, was fantastic, so kind and genuinely welcoming. After checkout, they stored our luggage free for several hours while we explored the city before our flight. Their official website says there's a fee, so we really appreciated that they did it at no extra charge. I'd definitely stay here again.

The neighborhood felt safe, and Hyde Park is basically across the street. There are lots of shops and dining options, plus several bus lines and two train stations nearby, about 5 minutes to Queensway and 7 to Bayswater. The hotel is renovating, but I didn't notice noise or inconvenience. My room had been updated and was comfortable, with plenty of closet space, a safe, a mini fridge with water, and a coffee and tea maker with supplies. The staff were courteous and respectful. My only complaint was a blackout across the hotel on the day I left. I woke up and nobody had told guests what was going on. I asked on WhatsApp but didn't get a reply. It would've been helpful to send a message to inform everyone. I'd definitely stay again.

The hotel felt calm and quiet, a nice place to unwind after a busy day in London. Housekeeping came each day with fresh towels, and everything was spotless. The whole stay felt well looked after and really well organised. Top, top, top, I had an excellent time and would highly recommend Central Park Hotel London.

The room was extremely small, with very little comfort, and things got much worse when the power went out. What was first meant to be a brief cut became open-ended, leaving the hotel without electricity and affecting basic services. There was only one working lift for the whole property even before that happened. Guests were told to leave instead of being offered proper help or somewhere else to stay, and reception showed little empathy or usefulness. The whole situation was stressful and badly handled. I can't recommend the hotel based on this stay.
