City Continental Kensington London

There were plenty of restaurants nearby, and the location was nice. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and they stored my luggage on checkout day. My room, though, was probably the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in, even allowing for London standards. The water also didn't work for about the first hour. I needed to wash up after checking in, so that was inconvenient.

I've stayed here twice, both times in November 2025. The first trip was for work, and I liked it enough to book a second visit that month for a holiday with my girlfriend. She especially loved the breakfast. The hotel is in a convenient spot in the Kensington neighborhood, very close to Earls Court station, which made getting around London easy. There are plenty of pubs, restaurants, and cafes nearby, and the hotel is good value for the location. We'd stay again if we get the chance to visit London.

The hotel was well kept, with paint, furnishings, and amenities that looked almost new. The staff were super nice, they let us check in quite early, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. It's only a few minutes on foot to the Piccadilly line. I'd give it three and a half stars if Google allowed half stars. We had a two-twin bid executive room, around 150 square feet, which felt small for two people even by European standards. Our room was on the lower LG level, a noisy area, especially in the morning. Doors opening and closing nearby kept making our door vibrate in its frame. The window seemed stuck shut, and I reported it to maintenance. That concerned me because the hallways were narrow and maze-like. The elevator was broken too, so getting our luggage to the lobby when leaving was quite a chore. I'd stay again, but only in a larger room and not on the LG level.

The room was very small, but the staff were extremely friendly. Something unpleasant happened during my stay, though the manager explained the situation clearly, gave a sincere apology, and offered suitable compensation. The service was excellent.
