The location was a real plus, with restaurants and tube stations nearby, and the staff were friendly. Our family room had loads of space and three huge windows facing the street, so it got lovely natural light. It was very clean too, though parts of the hotel are a little tired. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back.

The room had everything we needed, and a lot of it felt high quality, from the toilet paper and soap to the kitchen appliances and shower pressure. We were on level -1, which worked well for us because it was so quiet. The heating was the one problem: it switched off after about 45 minutes, and I woke up several times to turn it back on because I was cold. Otherwise, a very good stay.

Getting around was easy, with buses, the tube and trains well connected and shops and supermarkets nearby. The Cleveland Hotel was quiet, modern and well equipped, and the service was great. Everyone was lovely to us, especially Howard, whose hospitality and attention to detail really stood out.

The location is the only real plus. For the price, there are better nearby choices with cleaner rooms and staff who treat you respectfully. I regret spending so much here and wouldn’t return. I was traveling alone with my baby, and the receptionist, the bold gentleman, was rude and unhelpful. He didn’t help us get in or out. Accessibility is poor too: there are stairs at the entrance, and wheelchair users or guests with babies may be put in the basement or on a floor that still involves stairs. The place is old and badly maintained. Our room was clean on day one, but wasn’t cleaned the next day as expected. The kitchenette works, but it’s not a reason to stay. I should have paid more attention to the reviews. This didn’t feel like a 4-star hotel at all.

We spent six nights here and had a clean, comfortable room. The neighborhood was quiet, and the place is close to the city center and very near Hyde Park. The staff were friendly, polite and really helpful. We’d definitely suggest it.
