College Hall University of London

We spent most of our time exploring London on foot from College Hall, since the nearest underground station was a 10-15 minute walk away. The location itself is very handy and peaceful, around 15-20 minutes on foot from Trafalgar Square and under half an hour from sights around the eastern Thames, including Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the Eye, the South Bank, Soho and the theatres. For London, the rates felt very fair for that spot. The rooms are simple, as you'd expect in student accommodation, but clean and comfortable enough. You can choose a room with its own bathroom. Breakfast comes with the stay and was genuinely good, with everything from a full English to pastries, fruit and yoghurt. I'd happily stay again.

You're right in the middle of London, with buses and underground stops nearby and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. For the price, it's cheap housing for the location. The breakfasts can be huge if that's what you want. The rooms are a little above bare-bones, though still very much like university dorms. Some have their own bathroom, while many share one on the floor. Each floor's pantry has a kettle, fridge, microwave and ironing board.

A comfortable, clean hall with a nice feel to it. Great place to stay.

The location was lovely, the room was clean, and I enjoyed the breakfast. Getting around inside was less convenient: the stairs were a long way from the elevators, which were slow and sometimes went the wrong way. I tried to make tea one night but couldn't, since there was no kettle in the room. There were kettles in the pantries, but no cups or tea.
