The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, with two shopping centres nearby and everything we needed close at hand. It’s around a seven-minute walk to the tube. The bathroom felt tiny to me by American standards, and getting into central London wasn’t especially convenient. Still, decent value for the price.

For good value, this family-run hotel is a real find if you need a clean, comfortable, well-equipped room in London. Harrow-on-the Hill has plenty of shops and cafes and feels lively, while Baker Street is about 20 minutes away by tube. The rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly and kind. A cosy place I’d happily recommend for either a business visit or a trip to see London.

I cancelled my two-night booking after a man called within half an hour of my online reservation, shouting and demanding my credit card and bank details. The booking instructions said to pay the full amount at check-in, and I had no problem doing that. I asked who he was and explained that he shouldn’t try to take payment without my permission or while I wasn’t there. He never gave his name or position at the hotel. I was on a public coach, and his aggressive approach made me uncomfortable, so I refused to share my details. I told him he was rude and unprofessional, and that his intimidating behaviour meant I wouldn’t stay. As a woman looking for somewhere to sleep, I’d suggest being cautious about booking here. The rooms are small and musty, and the cheap price didn’t feel worth it.

The room had everything I needed, including a fridge, and was cleaned thoroughly each day. It was very clean, comfortable, and had good water pressure. It’s also close to Harrow and Wealdstone station and Harrow on the Hill. The hotel wasn’t especially stylish or trendy, but that didn’t matter much to me.

We stayed on 10th and 11th October and enjoyed it enough that I’d return if I’m in the area. There’s off-road parking at the front, just outside our room window. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, and they gave us a front-door code and the WiFi password. On arrival, the proprietor and his family were friendly and welcoming, and the young woman who showed us to the room was polite and courteous. It’s clearly a family business, well placed for Harrow’s amenities, with Harrow on Hill underground station within walking distance.
