The restaurant, reception and room service staff were all super sweet, and I loved the scent of the body wash and hand soap. But the thing I'll remember most is the Hot and Spicy chicken wings. Room service is available 24 hours, and the food came so fast. I've stayed in hotels in lots of countries, and this was seriously quick, efficient service. The fried chicken was the best I've had: the batter was incredibly crisp, the bluecheese sauce was chef's kiss, and the wings were huge, like they'd been lifting weights. If I come back to London, I'd stay here again just for that chicken, whatever else I get up to in the city.

Nelson and Alosh made the visit special. They were warm, attentive and professional, and kept making sure everything was just right. The food was fresh, tasty and nicely presented, and the drinks were well made and went perfectly with the meal. It was a fantastic experience, and I'd happily recommend the food and service. I look forward to coming back.

After 24 hours of travel to Heathrow, we picked Crowne Plaza for its reputation. Check-in was smooth, though slow, and the trainee receptionist raised an eyebrow in a way that concerned me. We went to bed, then at 07:00 the next morning a maintenance man walked into our room. I'd had a patchy night with jet lag setting in, so it was the worst wake-up call I've had. Luckily, I'd latched the door, giving us a minute to work out what was happening. We were told he shouldn't have been in there, as he needed to turn off the water, but that he'd 'sort it out'. We stayed up. Thirty minutes later, I called reception to ask whether our water had been shut off. They hadn't called us, and at first weren't sure, but said they'd check and call back. A few minutes later they confirmed there was no water and we needed to move rooms. The room change was bad enough, and we had to find an alternative ourselves instead of being contacted proactively. At checkout I gave reception my feedback, and got, 'tell management' in response.

As a private hire driver, I recently went to the Crowne Plaza Hotel Heathrow Terminal 4 to collect a passenger and was charged £100 for being there only a few minutes. I was surprised there was no grace period at all for a short stay. That fee seems unreasonable and disproportionate. It looks like the hotel has handed the charges over to a private company, but quick pickups should be allowed without such a high fee. Even 10-15 minutes of grace would make a difference for drivers and guests. I'd encourage management to review the arrangement with the contracted company and add a fair grace period. It would make pickups easier and help protect the hotel's reputation.
