They keep agreeing that I’m due a refund, but still no money comes through, month after month. This hotel is a total fraud. Don’t book here.

My wife was in London for an operation at Kings the next morning, and the hospital had advised her not to carry cash. When she tried to check in, the hotel said payment had to be in cash because their card link wasn’t working. She didn’t have any cash, and there was no way for me to come pay in person since I live 70 miles away. They still showed her the room, then said the entry code out loud with other people around, so anyone there could have heard it. The security felt nonexistent. She found the room small and filthy, missing the facilities it was meant to have, and said reception stank of weed. Her impression was that it was a dosshouse. Traveling alone, she felt threatened and intimidated, so she left and found another hotel. We don’t use online banking, so we haven’t been able to check, but we think they may have charged us even though we didn’t stay. Booking.com customer service said they messaged the hotel about these problems over a week ago and followed up, but got no reply. The hotel’s contact number is in India, so good luck trying to call.

I arrived for a room I’d booked four days earlier, with a confirmation email in hand, only to be told no room had been assigned to me. They said they’d overbooked by 104% and had to turn away eight people. Terrible.

Our room was cancelled without warning or any explanation, even though it was still being advertised on booking.com. We also saw other guests arrive and discover their bookings had been cancelled. Awful service, and the receptionist gave no explanation.
