Davies Court - Hostel

The shared kitchen was the one thing that let me down. It could be quite dirty, and cutlery or pots and pans were sometimes missing, so I’d suggest keeping your own things in your room. I really enjoyed staying at Davies Court otherwise. My room was quiet and kept very clean and tidy with a weekly clean. Reception was helpful, and the management were friendly, especially Jorge and Bruno.

I spent a long time at Davies Court and enjoyed living there. It’s in a good location, and there’s a small gym by reception. The facilities were clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was cleaned every week.

I still miss Davies Court, especially the neighbors and friends I made there. The warm hugs and cheerful company meant a lot, and it was nice to meet other Asians to cook and chat with. The bus 15 was a convenient, cheaper way to get around than the metro. My room and the shared kitchen were always clean, with staff working hard every day, and reception were so kind and helpful. There’s also a free gym right beside reception, which was a handy reminder when I walked past and felt lazy about working out. Many thanks to all the hardworking staff.

The room was spacious, and it was exceptionally clean when I arrived. I appreciated having bed linen provided. The bathroom water pressure was poor, though, and I could hear everything through the walls, along with strong kitchen smells. The fridges were horrifically filthy, and the young student neighbours weren’t great to live with. Most of the receptionists were lovely, kind, and understanding. One man was rude and condescending despite how polite I was, and he made an already difficult stay harder. I left early, which is a shame because I’d been looking forward to staying for a long time. I honestly wouldn’t recommend staying more than one night, especially for an adult.
