Paying extra for a balcony got me a view of two rusty Transit vans and an alley. The rooms were horrible, and the shared bathroom was ridiculous. The bed looked filthy enough to catch several diseases, and I wouldn't keep a hamster in that room for five minutes. Absolutely horrific. Stay away if hygiene matters to you.

I had to cancel because of an emergency and asked for a refund weeks before the reservation, but they refused. The host was nasty and showed no respect for people. Save your money and stay somewhere else. London has plenty of good places.

We turned up at 10am, but check-in wasn't until 3pm, and they wouldn't hold our bags while we went to a concert. We tried calling, but the number wasn't recognized. There was a pub around the corner that stored bags for £5, so we picked ours up there after the show, which was a pain. Then we couldn't get into the building for ages because the code wouldn't work. Luckily, someone leaving let us in. We saw bugs on the stairs and walls, and after finally getting into our room, my partner woke up with a cockroach on her stomach. Once we were properly awake, there were more on the headboard, ceiling and all over the shared bathroom. I wouldn't shower there, it was crawling with them too. We got dressed and left in a hurry. We paid 186 per night, and a bench in Hyde Park would've been more comfortable. We won't be back. Do NOT stay here.

The area was alright and close to the tube, but later at night our group of girls didn't feel safe, with dirty old men trying to lure us into their shops along the road. The place also stank of raw meat because it's above a shop, something the listing never mentioned. It's a converted flat, not a hotel, and there were loud guests in the shared apartments, which also wasn't disclosed. Our room didn't match the advertised photos. There were dangerous metal fixtures right beside the bed, and the other bed blocked the balcony door. The sheets and mattresses were dirty, as was the shared bathroom. The curtains didn't cover the whole window, so light came in constantly. There were no tea bags or coffee for the kettle, the towels were only hair towels, and no free toiletries were provided. It was cheap enough to sleep there for one night, but I wouldn't stay longer or come back.
