Elegant houseboat near Canary Wharf

Lulubelle was spotless and had everything we needed. We loved how peaceful the area was, especially with good local pubs nearby. Getting into the city and Canary Wharf was easy too. It was a fabulous weekend, and we definitely want to return.

Limehouse Basin is lovely, and it’s about a 10-minute walk to the DLR for central London or Canary Wharf. Staying here felt really special, much better than a hotel or flat. Such a unique London stay x

There’s a private, gated entrance, which gave us privacy and a sense of safety. Lulabelle at Limehouse marina is a spacious, stylish houseboat with two cosy bedrooms and comfortable beds. The furnishings and fittings were high quality, and it had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away.

Joivy's so-called Guest Sucess Team were rude, arrogant and completely insincere when apologising. They first offered a 50% refund for our ruined trip, then took it back and made a much lower offer. We rejected both. We should have received a full refund. Worse, they changed my partner's feedback and published the altered version as a review. This is a shameful and unethical business. If you see Joivy managing a property, directly or through Booking.com, do NOT use them. I've also contacted Trading Standards about this. We booked this houseboat for a weekend in London. When its septic tank overflowed and flooded the boat and bedrooms, Joivy told us not to expect alternative accommodation and said to use the marina's public facilities. The boat's owner eventually found us somewhere else, but it wasn't set up for guests and we had problems with hot water and other things. Joivy was the management company for the boat.
