Elegant Kings Cross Studio close to Regents Park

The hotel is comfortable and good value for central London, with friendly staff. The buffet breakfast was average. It’s a little unusual that it’s spread across several buildings, but that wasn’t really a problem. I’d be happy to stay again.

The apartment’s location is ideal, but the listing description doesn’t match what we found. The photos are misleading, and I’ve no idea where those lovely pictures were taken. The place was far from clean, especially the so-called terrace, which was appalling. There were four bedrooms: one with a double and a single bed, one with a double bed, and two with a single bed each. That added up to sleeping space for seven, even though we’d booked for eight. One person had to use the sofa in the living room, which was uncomfortable and impractical. The triple room was missing a duvet and a towel, and there was no bedding or towel for the eighth person on the sofa. Both showers drained very slowly, so we had to hurry to stop water overflowing the shower tray. The shower curtain badly needs replacing, and the toilet flush cover was missing.
