Fountain House

Lancaster Gate station is right outside, and it’s easy to walk from Paddington with luggage. Each morning I ran through Hyde Park and around either Kensington Palace or Buckingham Palace. The location couldn’t be better, and the front desk staff on both day and night shifts, along with the cleaners, were all very friendly and helpful. My family of six spent a month at Fountain House while we looked for a home in London. We’d been put off by some of the negative reviews, so we visited before booking. The receptionist kindly showed us around, and the rooms had just been renovated and felt brand new. Our Three Bedroom Executive Apartment overlooked Hyde Park, specifically the Italian Gardens. It had three bedrooms, one with an ensuite, a small kitchen, and a large living area with a dining table.

Fountain House was clean, welcoming, and well run. Sudipta Sharma at reception was especially friendly, professional, and helpful. Her service really stood out. I had a great stay!

Youssef, the manager, was friendly, professional, and very helpful. His service made our stay at Fountain House Hyde Park Apartment great. The place was clean and comfortable, and the location near Hyde Park was just right. Highly recommended!

The location, price, and apartment size suited us and met our expectations, but cleanliness, noise, maintenance, and communication caused real problems. The apartment was in the basement, with constant loud noise from the underground, and the cleanliness was poor. The kitchen bin was broken, and the bed linens weren’t clean. My sister got itchy after using the bedding, which left us seriously concerned about hygiene. We asked about moving to a higher floor, but the upgrade fee per night was very high. I also asked the morning reception staff for the manager’s phone number or email so I could raise these concerns properly, but the staff member refused to give me any contact details. Those issues had a major effect on our stay, despite the good location, price, and size.
