Global Lodge Hotel

We stayed at Staycity Dalston with friends and had a great time. It was easy to get around London from Dalston, with good transport links and lots of nearby places to eat and drink. The area felt lively but safe. Our apartment was clean, modern, and nicely laid out, with enough room for all of us, comfortable beds, and a well-equipped kitchenette. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out both went smoothly. It was good value and ideal for a group. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone travelling with friends.

We came for an event in north London, so being outside central London suited us fine. The hotel is almost opposite Dalston Kingsland station, where you can get the Overground back into town via the Victoria line. It’s a great little place for the money, with very friendly and accommodating staff. Highly recommend.

The hotel is cute, and the rooms are lovely and clean, but the staff were the real highlight. Loukas and Shelley in the restaurant looked after me so well and were such fun that I found it hard to leave and get on with my day. Nina, Sam, and Simon at the front desk were also fantastic, helpful, and fun to chat with. Such a great crew!

The room had useful features: a kitchenette, efficient air conditioning, good TV and Wi-Fi, working lifts, and well-designed security technology. There’s a small shop at reception with some cook-chill food and drinks, though there are plenty of shops nearby. The tariff was reasonable, and the hotel was clean, nicely designed, and had a friendly, welcoming team. The beds were very low, and the mattresses were uncomfortable for us, unlike the rest of the furniture. The bathroom needs better maintenance, and the rooms are quite small, with noisy centrally controlled ventilation and extraction. There’s no serving bar or catering at the moment, since the company closed those services while waiting for an outside operator.
