The garden was a lovely place to sit with a coffee. It’s private, beautifully decorated, and really quiet, and there’s a huge front garden too. The house has plenty of room for a family, with space for up to 16 guests. Turnpike Lane station on the Piccadilly Line is about a five-minute walk, and you can get there directly from Heathrow by tube. Driving was straightforward as well, with room for two cars on the drive and two EV chargers.

I kept losing count of the problems, and the owner’s constant WhatsApp messages and threats to cancel the booking made the stay stressful. We were asked repeatedly on Saturday evening to quiet down while we were just watching TV in the living room, even though a neighbour was having a party. The owner also sold us one of the two parking spaces that were already included, after we’d booked another spot nearby through a separate parking app because we needed a third space. The house wasn’t clean. There was mould in the bathrooms, dirty carpets and floors, and gaps in the kitchen where mice could get in. We had five toilet rolls for nine people over three days and no hand towels in any bathroom. There were also cameras inside the property that hadn’t been disclosed before booking. It could have been a nice stay if the owner hadn’t been such a bother.

The rooms were clean and minimal, with everything we needed, and the house was spacious with a garden. Grenville is in a great location, and we had an amazing stay. I’d definitely recommend it.
