Norbury had plenty of green spaces and good connections. The owner was kind and helpful, but the suite felt worn and needed more attention to detail, especially for one with a balcony. The bed’s fabric was badly worn, and the handy mini kitchen had only two cups and two spoons, with no glasses or plates. The bathroom worked, though the wall support for the showerhead was broken, so it had to be held by hand. The balcony was disappointing too, mouldy, with no seating or shelter from rain. There were some positives, but maintenance and amenities need improvement.

Rip-off! I felt unsafe for an hour, then moved somewhere safer. There was no reception, and the fire exit stood wide open, while the door had no proper lock. The bed was broken and uncomfortable, the bathroom tiles were broken, the mirror was scratched, and the toilet was blocked. My credit card was charged three weeks before my visit. The guesthouse photos don’t reflect its current condition.

The host was nice, and the train station is close. But it gets really hot in summer with no AC, there’s a weird smell, and traffic noise. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you just need a cheap stay.

Friendly staff, and it has an Airbnb kind of feel without neighbours who think I’m a cat burglar.
