The price is great for such a good location, and I thought the room was nice. The shower was okay. My concern was the bedding and towels, which didn't look very clean. I'm hoping they had been washed and were just stained, but it was off-putting. I would have rated the stay lower for that, except the location and price really are amazing. The room was on the 4th floor with no lift. There's no staffed reception, but you get a key for the front door.

The only good thing was the location. Hygiene was terrible when I stayed here with my partner for work a few months ago. The shower was dirty, the sink didn't drain properly, the sheets were stained, and the carpet was dusty. I felt disgusting showering there. I can put up with a small room, an old TV, or an ancient lift. We just wanted somewhere hygienic. Worst hotel I've stayed in, I can't lie.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good, and the staff were helpful, though their English was poor. Still, I wouldn't stay again or recommend the hotel. The place is shabby and dated and badly needs refurbishing. The lift wasn't working, so we had to carry our suitcase up eight floors. The room was small, which I expected in London, but the shower room was grubby and only a trickle came out of the shower. They couldn't book us a taxi either because the phone wasn't working.

I picked this place because I just needed a roof over my head after a night out, and it did the job. The room was tiny but had its own bathroom. I didn't use the shower because it was in awful condition, though the toilet was better. The room badly needs updating. On the plus side, it was much more affordable than nearby hotels, and Oxford Circus Tube Station is a ten-minute walk away.

It's a cheap place for crashing out and the breakfast is decent. The bathroom is tiny and outdated, and the carpets and shower fittings are basic, but for the price, that's what you get. If you want something better and still within 5 minutes of Oxford Circus, I'd be hard pushed to find a more reasonable place to spend a night. People leaving bad reviews should take the value for money into account. Just don't expect the Savoy!
