Hampstead Enjoy the Exclusive Atmosphere

We felt it was very good value. There’s no breakfast, but it was easy to pick something up at the Pret, other cafes, or supermarkets near Finchley Road Station. The room was a good size for us and had everything we needed. The bathroom could feel tight for a larger person, though it worked fine for us. The bed was comfortable, and they replenished the tea and milk. The walls are a little thin, so we heard the neighbouring rooms a couple of times, but it was generally very quiet, including the road outside. The staff were lovely at check-in. It’s also easy to get around, with two tube stations about a 5-10 minute walk away.

Martin got in touch by text and phone before I arrived, and gave me a very warm welcome. He knew the local area and made me feel at ease. I was in town for a two-day conference at the Royal Free Hospital over the Bank Holiday Weekend. The hotel has been refurbished and feels fresh in both the shared areas and rooms. The residential neighbourhood felt safe and was well lit. I’m rating it for value, cleanliness, and friendliness, and I’d happily stay again at this price.

For a concert near Wembley, this was an affordable and convenient place to stay, about one long tube ride away with no stop in zone 3. It’s in a quiet residential area within walking distance of Finchley Road tube station. The double room was spacious, and its high ceiling made it feel even bigger. The built-in bathroom is tiny, though larger people may find it difficult. Still, the sink, toilet, curtain, and shower all fit, and it was functional enough. The decor was simple, the linen clean, and the bed comfortable. We slept well. The carpeted floors and creaky stairs give the place the feel of an old English house, which is what it is. It’s simple, clean, and suited to a short stay.

Martin was accommodating when I needed to check in later than planned, and kept me updated. My room was at the front of the lovely property, with plenty of space for me and my belongings, plus ample hanging and storage. It was spotless, and the bed was so comfortable that I had three uninterrupted nights of sleep. This independent, family-run hotel sits on a delightful quiet road lined with trees. Finchley Road tube is a short walk away, and West Hampstead tube is walkable too. A great option if you’d rather avoid a big, impersonal chain hotel.
