Haringey Hotel

My phone had run out of battery, the trains were delayed, and I was late for an appointment, so I was stranded in the area. The receptionist was incredibly helpful: he let me use his phone to call a taxi, offered to charge my phone, and said I could wait in reception. I’m very grateful for his kindness and would recommend the hotel because of it.

The room was clean and warm, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful since the hotel recently came under new management. Reception is open 24 hours, and nothing seems too much trouble. It’s a great little hotel for transport, just a short walk from the train station and local shops. I’ll definitely stay again.

Calling this a hotel feels wrong, it’s a hostel! Guests often make the street feel very unsafe, with broken glass everywhere and fights outside. The facilities aren’t clean, the windows are awful, the showers are broken, and there are bedbugs and other issues.

A terrible stay, and I wouldn’t come back even on a budget. Our room wasn’t ready until half an hour after check-in, then we got the wrong room and staff scrambled to find the double we’d booked. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, and when we checked, there were cigarette butts in the sink drain. The tea bags looked manhandled and had just been tossed onto the tray with the coffee sachets. Everything generally felt unclean, and staff were nowhere to be seen.
