Havering Hotel

We only booked for one night, but left without staying. The main entrance was locked when we arrived, and nobody was inside to let us in. After waiting a while, someone came out of the building. Once we got inside, there was a strong smell of weeds, including in our room. The room and sheets were very dirty, and the towels were discoloured. We contacted booking.com, since that's where we booked, and explained why we had to leave immediately. The hotel still gave us no refund.

We picked this place for the parking and easy access to central Romford. There's room for about 8-9 cars, and it's a reasonable budget option if you're nearby. Don't expect luxury, but you do get a clean room, a bed, and a small en suite with a shower and toilet. Our beds were quite noisy. Other guests kept us awake one night by making noise into the early hours. Maybe we were just unlucky that time.

Warm and cosy, with a competitive price. My room was clean and spacious, and better equipped than the travel lodgein romford: it had a fridge, toaster and kettle. The staff were friendly. I'd stay again. Happy thoughts.

We paid £79.00 in cash for the night after the receptionist wouldn't take a debit card. I'd called at 9 pm to ask about a double room, and we arrived at 10.30 pm. I mentioned that we might leave early, and around 1 am the receptionist knocked on our door to ask when we were going. We left at about 3 am. The next day, we realized my GF had left her bracelet in the room. When I called, they said they hadn't found anything. A rip-off and dodge.
