Hillspring Lodge

There's a bar and restaurant in the lobby, plus a kitchen for cooking your own meals, with utensils available to rent. Breakfast was included and was quite adequate, and unlimited free coffee was a big plus. The price was very reasonable, and I'd absolutely recommend this hostel for a short London stay. Three of us shared a four-bed mixed dorm. The room and beds were comfortable and clean, and the shared toilets were kept very clean and well maintained. The location is great too, near the edge of Tube Zone 2. Willesden Green on the Jubilee line is under a ten-minute walk away, and there's a bus stop right outside.

We found a great deal, and breakfast was included. The restrooms stood out most to me: they were immaculate and the cleaning staff kept them maintained all the time. Breakfast was good, but my one small criticism is that it didn't include eggs or any protein. Such a great hostel!

The dorms were clean and secure, with fresh linen, and the showers and toilets were kept tidy too. I stayed in a mixed four-bed room. Staff were consistently warm, cheerful, and knew London well. The hostel is in a friendly area, about five minutes on foot from the tube, with a bus stop right outside for central London. Downstairs there’s a pool table and table tennis in the bar, plus music through the afternoon and evening, though that’s about all there is for entertainment. Rooms can be really cheap if you book at the right time, so it’s great value.

You can make your own meals in the kitchen, which is handy, since breakfast is the same each day and could use more variety. The location is convenient for the metro and supermarkets, and I thought the price was a great deal. My main issue was the noise: the dorm is close to the bar, and I’m not a fan of that.
