I changed my mind about staying after they asked for a £200 deposit. Earlier, when I asked about checking in at 1 pm instead of 3 pm because I was busy, they sent me a link to pay £25 for early check-in, which was fine. Around 11 pm they called to say they were waiting for me. I said I wasn't coming, and they told me to cancel the booking and said they'd refund the full amount. I didn't want that since I hadn't cancelled it myself. When I did cancel, they ignored the refund request, apparently because the room was empty and I wasn't going to show up. It felt like they wanted me to cancel so they could sell the room to someone else. A real scam. Never booking again.

A total rip-off. On the day you arrive, they make trouble so you lose both your booking and your money. It caused a lot of stress and wasted time. This is a scam.

We never ended up staying because the whole thing felt like a scam. Everything seemed fine until we were on our way to London. Once we landed, they called to say the deposit had to be paid from a UK account. Obviously, ordinary tourists don't have a UK account, and they already had our details and knew where we were from. Then they tried to push us into a much worse apartment over 40 minutes away, where they would let us stay without that deposit. That makes no sense. It felt like they advertise nice places and then put up barriers to steer people toward worse apartments, taking advantage of us being abroad and just wanting someone to sort it out. In short, don't book with these people.
