Holiday Inn Express London - Croydon by IHG

Everyone on the team was kind, professional and attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Mrs. Adela deserves a special thank you for her care, kindness and attention to detail. Her dedication made our experience even more enjoyable. We'd be delighted to return and highly recommend the hotel.

The breakfast was better than what I've had at plenty of four-star places, and the takeaway coffee was a great idea if you're heading to work. Adela was very efficient and helpful too, better than staff at many more expensive hotels I've stayed in. The rooms were a decent size and perfectly clean. It's only 10 minutes from east Croydon station, with trains to London taking 15 minutes and running every four minutes. So cheap for what you get.

Fernanda stood out at breakfast for being so nice and friendly. The whole breakfast team was excellent, with a full cooked selection and a fair range of other things. The evening meal was just about edible, dry microwaved rice and curry, but the prices were fair. They don't claim to serve gourmet food, and at least it wasn't overpriced. The service overall was fantastic. When I arrived, a friendly gentleman called Andreij (I believe) greeted me, paid attention to my membership, and checked in by phone about 20 minutes after I got to my room. Everyone was approachable and smiled, just as I encourage my own team to do when working with the public. Thanks to the Holiday Inn express Croydon team for making my business stay comfortable and enjoyable.
