Holiday Inn Express London - ExCeL by IHG

The DLR stop nearby made it easy to get into central London and visit the sights. Even with the airport close by, the hotel stayed quiet. I spent a week here and found the welcome efficient, the rooms clean and roomy, and the service staff warm and cheerful. Cynthia and Lebechi deserve a special mention for making us smile each morning. A lovely way to start the day. I'd happily recommend this place.

We found it easy to get around thanks to the DLR just around the corner, and the hotel was quiet despite being outside the city centre. The price was great too. My family and I had a really good stay, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Cleo at the bar was especially lovely. She chatted with everyone and made a point of engaging with the kids. Absolutely fantastic.

Cynthia and Lebechi really looked after me at breakfast, even though I arrived just before it closed. They made sure I had what I needed and got me some food, which I appreciated a lot before a big work day. Their kindness caught me off guard in the best way. The staff were polite and accommodating, and breakfast was lovely overall, though there isn't a gym and I'd have liked an egg option besides scrambled. With my dairy intolerance, hot breakfast choices are limited. The room is average but nice, and the bed is HUGE and very comfy. I could fit about seven of me in there, haha. I'm on day two, so far so good.

Cynthia made breakfast much easier for us, showing us how to use the coffee machine and clearing our table with a smile. The staff were all lovely. Breakfast was free, and having food available around the clock was great. We only stayed overnight, but the room was immaculate, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom looked new, and the shower was great. The air conditioning actually worked brilliantly, which is a first for us at a hotel. We'd come back in a heartbeat.
