The best thing about our week at Holiday Inn North Acton was the location. North Acton Underground is right nearby in Zone 2, so getting into central London was quick and easy, and there’s a Tesco across the road for snacks and drinks. We paid £850 for two people for the stay from 31.12 to 07.01, with breakfast included. The vegetarian choices were just about enough, though a bit more variety would’ve helped. Mr. Baris kindly lent us his personal charging cable for a day, which was a big help. The heating and ventilation also worked better than in any hotel room we’d stayed in before: it warmed the room properly and was easy to adjust. The room itself needs attention. It felt dated and very dusty, smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals, and had visible mold in the bathroom. The hair dryer broke on our last day, and there wasn’t another one available. We were told repairs would take a full day, which didn’t help us then. The location and transport links make the hotel acceptable, but the condition, cleanliness and maintenance need a lot of work for the price.

A really good bed makes this a great place if all you need is somewhere to sleep. It’s clean, though a bit run down, and the amenities aren’t great. The price is good for London, and public transport is excellent, with several buses and the Central line nearby.

The rooms felt small for a couple, and the AC never worked during our two-day stay. When we reported it, they gave us a little fan, but reception handled the complaint unprofessionally. I’d avoid the place if you have other options.

North Acton tube station is right by the hotel, with bus stops outside and places to eat and get coffee nearby. The room was spacious and clean, with plugs and USB ports beside the bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was included and good. There’s free WiFi and a bar, though the choice of beers on tap is limited. Parking is very limited, just 10-15 spaces in total, and costs £15 a night. There aren’t other parking options in the area.

The rooms are good value, and getting into central London is easy. Staff are friendly, and they serve a nice complimentary breakfast.
