Home House

The staff are professional, welcoming, and experienced with weddings, so everything runs smoothly and couples and suppliers can focus on the celebration. The atmosphere is refined but relaxed, and every wedding I’ve photographed here has felt distinctive. I’ve photographed a wedding at Home House and loved working there. The characterful building has elegant, layered interiors that feel intimate and grand at once. There’s lovely light throughout the rooms, and the range of spaces lets the day flow naturally from the ceremony to drinks and evening celebrations. It’s a fantastic London venue for couples after style, warmth, and character.

I’d only been gone 48 hours and already missed the place terribly. I was there for six nights on a business trip, and the rooms were incredible, especially the bathrooms. I still don’t understand why we don’t have heated towel racks in the States. The reception team deserve special mention. Oksana and John were wonderful, sweet and kind, and John’s quick wit made me laugh. I felt like I’d made a couple of friends. Everyone was attentive and anticipated what I might need. After a long conference day, I’d be warmly greeted and asked if I wanted tea in my room or a drink from the bar. Dinner with a member and two of his friends was perfect, from the main dish and sides to the wine. The staff handled everything expertly. It’s also well placed for walks to Soho and the marble arch. If you fancy going farther, Abbey Road crosswalk and studio, including the gift shop, are about a mile and a quarter away, past Lord’s cricket grounds. There are great pubs around too. I can recommend The Three Tuns, especially the Timothy Taylor Landlord cask pull.

We had the best time celebrating my 40th birthday in the "Vaults" at Home House, and I stayed overnight in one of the Club Rooms. Elena was super responsive and accommodating, and the whole event ran smoothly. She thought of all the details: printed menus, a cake table, gifts brought up to our room, and extra decor left in the cloakroom. There was no tidying up or hassle. I’d highly recommend Home House for any kind of event.

I’ve decided I won’t stay a member any more after what happened today. The Home House club was nice, but the service was bad. The waiter was rude and made me feel unwelcome, telling me I couldn’t use a computer or sit at a table without a booking, though I hadn’t seen a sign. I was told to move to a small table. She pointed her finger at me three times in front of the manager (the Mongolia), and the manager didn’t care or stop her. I said I’d never be rude to my own client, but the manager replied that my restaurant wasn’t as big as theirs, even though I bought my restaurant for £1.5M. Nobody seems to care when staff are rude to members. Why keep paying a monthly fee to be spoken to rudely and told off? I believe others have complained about this too. I’ll cancel my membership soon. It’s not worth the money and the waiter left me feeling sad. My god, the Home House club has very bad service now.
