The noise made this a very long night: motorbikes, sirens, shouting and doors slamming in the hotel. The windows did little to block it out, and keeping them shut to soften the sound made the room very hot. The only cooling option was a small fan circulating warm air. We'd checked in online and arrived early for one night, asking to leave a bag and come back later. We were shown a rack anyone could take from. After a good 15min walk to the areas most people visit, we returned a few hours later and thankfully found our bag still there. The friendly reception man at the hotel next door gave us a key. Our room was up two flights of reasonably steap stairs. It was small and a little rough around the edges, but usable. Breakfast was complimentary, a basic continental, and fine since it was free. Checkout was done by putting a card in the box and checking out online.

The prices were keen, the location central and the service nice. My overnight stay on the top (3rd) floor was well presented, and breakfast was very nice and well stocked. Although my room faced the main road, Gower Street, there was very little traffic noise overnight or throughout. Highly recommended.

I couldn't find a hostel I liked, so I looked for somewhere budget-friendly and well located. Cavendish didn't disappoint. The staff were super nice and attentive, and the hotel was perfect and quiet.

The breakfast turned out better than I expected after reading some online reviews. There’s no cooked option, but the selection covers what you need, including gluten-free food and a huge range of milk alternatives: coconut, hazelnut, almond, oat and lactose-free. The room was clean, spacious enough to leave a suitcase open, and had everything I needed. The shower only has an overhead setting, so it’s hard to keep your hair dry if you don’t have a shower cap. A minor annoyance. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend the place. I’d probably come back if I need a room near central London. Thanks very much!

The room had everything we needed, even an adapter for UK outlets, and the hotel was quite clean. Breakfast was simple but fresh and delicious. The man at reception was really friendly. Thanks, everyone ❤️
