Hotel Indigo London - 1 Leicester Square by IHG

We stayed three nights and would recommend the hotel and visit again. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were nice. We didn’t try the rooftop bar or restaurant, though our room was directly below them. Despite what others have said, the only noise we noticed was the occasional chair or table being moved upstairs, and it barely registered. The location is incredible, with lots of food options right outside the entrance. The tube is convenient, and we could walk to all the shows and sights.

I was there for three nights on a business trip. My room was in very good condition and extremely clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The staff welcomed me and upgraded my room. Breakfast at the top-floor restaurant was very good, and in the evening it becomes a lively bar. Outside noise can be an issue, though it quiets down after midnight. That’s part of staying right in the middle of the West End. The hotel is at Leicester square, close to everything important in central london. Tube connections are very good, there are hundreds of restaurants at every price point, and China town is right next door. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting London to see the sights and tourist attractions.

The hotel’s central spot in Leicester Square made it convenient for both our meetings and exploring the city. We were a professional delegation with around 17 rooms, so we needed things to be well organised, and our stay went very smoothly. We felt well looked after and appreciated the high level of service. Mr. Ibrahim was especially helpful and supportive. He personally helped us with every issue we ran into, always kindly, efficiently and professionally. He made a real difference to our experience. We’d be very happy to work with the hotel again and highly recommend it.

The rooftop restaurant was wonderful, with a really good city view from the 9th floor, or 10th in the US. The location is perfect, right between Piccadilly circus and an easy walk to the Tube. Still, I might rate a return stay only 4 out of 10. Most rooms seem to be windowless, and they give those to people booking through third-party sites. My room had no window, and I lost track of whether it was day or night. The lift was horrible, very slow and tiny. Three people filled it, so you could wait another 5 minutes for it to come back and hope it was empty. I paid for breakfast through the third-party site, but that apparently never got passed on to the hotel. This wasn’t like the other Indigo hotels I’ve stayed at.
