Breakfast was such a treat, especially because Alejandro described each homemade pastry so well that we ate more than we’d planned. The cappuccinos were the best! Our room was quiet and comfortable, small but cozy, and the service was impeccable throughout. Khaled accommodated us flawlessly, and his professionalism, along with that of the rest of the staff, deserves credit. It was our family’s first visit to London, and the welcoming staff, beautifully appointed lobby, restaurant, and bar made a great impression. Thanks to everyone for making the trip memorable.

The Classic Guest Room was a little tight, but the bathroom was modern and a good size, better than the photos on the site suggest. We had dinner at the hotel on our first night and liked it. The Ivy Kensington location was fantastic for breakfast and only a 10-minute walk away. I spent hours looking into hotels for our first trip to London and am so glad we picked Hotel Xenia. The staff gave five star service, and it’s well placed for walking to restaurants, museums, Harrods, and the tube. We were glad to stay away from the touristy areas.

We wanted a drink in the conservatory, which had plenty of seats, but were told it was for food only. With just the indoor bar or outdoor area as alternatives, we walked 30 meters across the road to the other Marriott instead. Breakfast, on the other hand, was absolutely excellent. The location is very convenient: Hyde Park is a 10-minute walk, Harrods about 15 minutes, and central London a few tube stops away. On a sunny day, the 30-minute walk into town is pleasant. Check-in was quick and all the staff we met were welcoming and professional. On arrival we were offered drinks, but didn’t know if they were complimentary or charged. We accepted, expecting to pay, and only learned they were free after asking. Saying “complimentary” up front would make that offer clearer. Our clean Room 002 was a decent size for the price, with good amenities. You can faintly hear the Underground from the lower floor, though it didn’t disturb my sleep as a light sleeper. If you’re sensitive to noise, ask for a higher floor. It’s a friendly hotel with great value, and we’d stay again.

We had a lovely stay, and Abi made arrival easy with a warm welcome and quick check-in. The place was spotlessly clean, including the dry amenities. Alejandro was fantastic at breakfast and made each morning enjoyable. We’d happily return.
