I paid just £39 for a clean, comfortable night before flying from Heathrow. Hounslow West tube station is an easy walk away, with a straightforward trip to the airport. The staff were welcoming, and there’s takeaway food nearby. I didn’t have breakfast. There’s no coffee in the room, so bring your own sachets if that matters to you. It didn’t bother me, since there are coffee shops in the terminals.
The staff were friendly and polite, and the hotel seemed to run smoothly. We slept well despite the nearby airport noise, and enjoyed watching planes take off and land from our window. We’d definitely use Ibis budget again. My husband and I stayed one night during a weekend coach trip to London. Check-in was easy, and we were told when to come down for breakfast. Our clean, comfortable room had what we needed. We relaxed with a drink in the bar, which had comfortable sofa seating. We hadn’t brought a hair dryer, but reception kindly lent us one for free. Breakfast had a good range of hot and cold food and drinks, and we left feeling full.
The carpet in my room badly needed replacing because of all the stains, and the WiFi was terrible. Still, for one night near the airport at this price, I’d come back. I booked the Ibis Budget Heathrow Central Hotel because it was affordable and expected little, but the stay was a pleasant surprise from check-in through checkout. The welcome was friendly and quick, and I was given a nice room. It was very basic, but clean and comfortable. The bed and linens were surprisingly comfortable, and the shower was decent, even if not perfect. For the price, the cleanliness and comfort were hard to ask more of.
I’ve stayed here a few times over the last couple of weeks while working nearby. The room was just right, with a very comfortable bed and pillows, a good shower, and a convenient location. I only noticed after a few days how close the planes fly overhead, but it was completely silent. I also appreciated that the room was cleaned every day.
For the price, I really can’t find anything to complain about. The room was a lovely size, spotlessly clean, with a big, comfy double bed, plenty of pillows, two large towels, a nice shower with gels, and even a kettle and mugs. There was no tea or coffee, but I knew that and brought my own. You can buy them at the hotel too. Check-in was quick and easy. I had a wander and found a really lovely bar and cafe area, where I had a glass of wine and a soda for less than £6. Tesco Express is only a few minutes’ walk away for anything you’ve forgotten. The surrounding area is quiet and clean, and I’m happy to stay here again. I’d read reviews about the brand and wasn’t expecting much from a budget hotel. I was wrong!
