Ibis London Euston St Pancras

Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of hot and cold buffet options and tables cleared quickly. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the reception team were friendly and quick to help. I called for directions and the receptionist helped me out. The Accor online check-in and check-out saved time, too. We didn't have a hair dryer in the room, but it wasn't a big issue, and we didn't try dinner. This was my second stay and I'd happily come back. Thanks to the reception team for the speedy, friendly service.

The hotel is in a great spot, and the staff were lovely. We stayed for two nights for my husband's birthday, and came back to a room decorated with confetti, balloons and party hats, plus cake with fresh fruit and chocolates. It was such a thoughtful surprise and they really went above and beyond. The room was clean and comfortable, too. We'd highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back.

The breakfast was enjoyable, though on both days there were no sausages left. There were also very few teaspoons and no peppermint tea. Our twin room wasn't ready when we arrived, and it still wasn't ready when we came back at 2pm, which was frustrating. They did give us a free drink while we waited. The reception area was lovely, and I liked the scent there. The rooms weren't all to the same standard, but ours was adequate. Those were only small negatives in an otherwise mostly great stay.

The reception and bar have a friendly feel, which is probably what makes this one of my favourite hotels. The room is dependable and has what I need: tea, coffee, a TV and a great bed. Euston is very convenient, though we drove and used the hotel car park, which was cheaper than the other places I checked. A great base for a city break. I've stayed twice and will be back.
