ibis London Stratford

The Stratford station is about an 8-9 minute walk away, and there’s a big supermarket just a minute from the hotel, with pubs, shops, and restaurants nearby. It’s an easy base for getting into central London. I’ve stayed here for work trips since around 2017. By London standards the price is reasonable, especially when booking early. I think the loyalty membership gave me another 10% off. Rooms have been clean and quite spacious, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. I’ve also had breakfast included before. There’s a broad choice, including healthier options as well as a full English, and it felt like good value given London prices.

We came to see ABBA Voyage, and the location worked brilliantly. The team made the stay, especially Tatiana, who was wonderful and really helped make our trip special. Everyone was friendly, busy but never flustered, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. You can tell they enjoy the work. Our room was clean and modern, and breakfast was hot and really nice. The hospitality felt excellent value. We stayed at Travelodge in Stratford last time, and found the Ibis team much more professional and welcoming. Thanks for such an enjoyable stay, we’ll be back xx

We booked two double rooms and check-in was quick and straightforward. The rooms had fresh towels and clean sheets, and the bathrooms were clean too. One window wouldn’t shut properly, though, so outside noise and the wind coming in made it hard to sleep. Even with that issue, we had a good stay and would recommend booking here.

The staff were lovely when we arrived and friendly whenever we spoke to them. The building also has level access, which was a real plus. But the accessible room didn’t work well for a wheelchair user. The doorways and lift felt narrow, and I struggled to enter the room, then couldn’t get around the beds to reach the bathroom. There simply wasn’t room to manoeuvre my chair inside. I can walk short distances, so I managed with a walking stick. The bathroom itself was spacious, the shower seat was a godsend, and a wheelchair would have fit in there. The room looked great in the photos, but there’s a clear gap between ticking the accessibility box and making the space functional.
