ibis London Wembley

We found plenty of places nearby for a good brunch, which came in handy after the quiet room let us sleep so late that we missed breakfast on the first morning. We were there for two nights for a gig at the stadium. The hotel is right beside the stadium and station, with great shops and restaurants close by. Our room was small but had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. On the second day we tried breakfast, with a good range of hot and cold food. Even though it was very busy, staff cleared and cleaned tables efficiently and kept the food replenished. We’d recommend it and would stay again when we need to be in Wembley.

The bar downstairs was a nice place to sit, and there was live music before we headed to the match. We stayed for the Lionesses at Wembley Stadium and found the hotel very modern and clean, with extremely friendly, courteous staff. Breakfast on the mezzanine was a good value buffet with hot and continental options. Our shower had strong water pressure and a good temperature, and the beds were comfortable enough to fall asleep in easily. We were on the ninth floor, where the corridors were quiet. Brilliant service all around, and we’ll definitely return.

The hotel is in a quiet, safe neighborhood, with dining options, grocery stores and a kids’ playground nearby. Wembley Park, the stadium, subway and railway station are close, as is the London Designer Outlet, though that area depends on whether an event is on at Wembley Stadium. The price is affordable, but rates can jump during stadium events. We stayed four days. The room was nice and clean, but there was no fridge. The bathroom was fine, though the towels were frayed despite being changed daily, and the bedding wasn’t refreshed during our stay. For room issues, the hotel uses WhatsApp rather than a local intercom, which feels outdated. Staff were friendly and courteous. The place looks modern and clean, but the elevator was frustrating: only one was working, it was slow, and it stopped at every floor even when nobody was waiting.

My booking, made months ahead, was cancelled just weeks before an event. I got no explanation or apology, just an email saying it was cancelled. I later saw on Google that the hotel was temporarily closed. Some explanation would have been appreciated. I’ve had to find somewhere farther away because all the nearby hotels are too expensive. Update: After the Oasis gig, I walked past at 11pm and saw the lights on and security at the door. That seemed strange for a hotel said to be closed for safety reasons.
