The facilities are in rough shape: toilets are often filthy and won't flush, hot water comes and goes, and the heating is either broken or unbearably hot. The kitchen has had rats all year and smells awful. Most of the staff I've met have been lovely, though. I asked if I could leave my belongings packed for five days after my departure date, since that would save me the £120 UCL storage charge and the extra driving, travel, and risk. They refused, despite a two-month gap before new residents move in. If you're in your first year here, I'd strongly recommend transferring somewhere else.

The food in the canteen was a real highlight, with lots of choice and absolutely amazing quality. Reception staff were also incredibly friendly and always willing to help with questions or concerns. The welcoming atmosphere made it an enjoyable place, though I do think the facilities need refurbishment to improve the living experience.

The furniture is a little dated, but otherwise you have what you need, and the price is reasonable for what you get. The staff were all kind and helpful, and I had a pretty pleasant stay. I'd come back if I visit again.

It's safe, and you can get what you need within a 10-minute walk. The main UCL campus is also about 10 minutes away by bus. In London, the location and price are hard to beat. Other accommodation can cost double or even triple just for fancy, up-to-date facilities that I don't find useful.

The room was so dim that I could barely see at night even with the light on, and the kitchen is too small for the whole floor, with no microwave. Still, the bed was good, the price is good for London, and the location works well. The food isn't great, but it's included in the rent and there's something to eat. There are good Italian restaurants nearby, plus McDonald's and Subway for a quick bite. The bus stop is right downstairs, though getting to UCL in the morning can mean waiting 30 minutes to board because the buses are packed with students and commuters.
