The street was a little noisy, though it didn’t bother us much. The tube is only about five minutes away, which made the location handy. In the lobby there’s water, tea, coffee and a microwave available any time. Our room was small but freshly decorated and very clean. The shower and hairdryer were good, and the air conditioning was great in the sunny weather during our weekend visit. The hotel turned out much better than I expected from the other reviews.
The air conditioning ran, though it didn’t cool the room much, so it stayed quite warm. It wasn’t a major issue for us. The rooms are small and cosy, which makes sense for the area, and ours was clean and tidy. We had no trouble with the shower despite what some other reviews said. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and the free coffee and water refills at reception were a nice extra. We had a great stay and would recommend it for a short break.
We’re so grateful to the whole team at Brit Hotels Earl’s Court. After our original accommodation turned out to be a scam, we were left outside in the rain with our children in the evening, with nowhere to go. We walked in without booking, and the staff quickly welcomed us, found us a room and even offered a discount. Their calm, kind and helpful response meant a lot after such a stressful situation. The hotel was modern, new and spotless. Our room was comfortable, well equipped and very clean, and felt like a safe haven that night. I can truly recommend it for the facilities and cleanliness, and especially for the staff’s professionalism and humanity.
The few things I liked were the low room prices, free water and coffee, and the reception men, who were very nice and helpful. The rest of the stay was poor. I spent 10 days there, first in a tiny, dusty room on the first floor with barely any space to move or put clothes. It was noisy, so after five days I asked to switch rooms. The new one was much quieter, but up on the fourth floor with no elevator, and the air conditioning didn’t work well. Both rooms had tiny showers. There was no shampoo, and housekeeping almost every day forgot the toilet paper. They also didn’t clean or replace the water glasses.
The rooms are small, as you’d expect, and there’s no lift. The staircase is narrow and gets steep near the third floor. Still, the foyer and lobby are inviting, the staff are friendly, and I appreciated the water and coffee station. It’s a nice little hotel, and I’d consider staying again.
