I’m really happy with the bike I recently bought from Turf Bike shop. It was in excellent condition and fairly priced. They know their stuff, whether you’re buying, selling, getting repairs, or making modifications, and they handle it all with care and professionalism. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves cycling!
Everything in the room was sticky and dirty, with insects everywhere. It was unbearable and so filthy it made me feel sick. I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated, and would never recommend this place to anyone. The reception was constantly unmanned when I needed someone. They didn’t reply to emails or answer phone calls, and it honestly felt like the staff disappeared during working hours. I have no idea what they were even doing. This place is absolutely unacceptable. I wouldn’t even give it half a star, but the system won’t let me rate it lower.
The communal areas were excellent, with good spaces to relax and socialize, and the staff were always friendly, approachable, and ready to help. From my first day, the facilities and comfort stood out. The rooms were spacious and well maintained, with a thoughtful design that made the accommodation feel homely. Being close to everything in Islington made it convenient for both studying and leisure. I appreciated the lively, safe, welcoming feel of the residence and the surrounding neighbourhood. Thanks for a fantastic experience. I’d highly recommend AXO Islington to anyone looking for quality accommodation, and I look forward to staying there again.
The privacy here is a real plus, and the occasional resident events are there if you feel like meeting people. The staff have been helpful without getting in my way, and having laundry machines in the building has been a lifesaver. I’ve been at Axo Islington since September 2024 as an international student, and it’s been a comfortable place to live. Shops for groceries and tube and bus stops are close by, and the rooms are lovely with great views. I’d genuinely recommend it if you want an easy, comfortable base in London :)
The admin staff have been really nice and helpful, and I’ve generally been fine living here. It’s an alright place compared with the four student residences I’ve lived in. The shared kitchen is where you’re most likely to see other people, so the community can feel pretty quiet. There are good and bad sides to that, though the administration can’t do much about neighbours leaving it unclean. The smoke alarm also goes off about twice a week, sometimes in the middle of the night. That may be typical for student housing, but it’s still really unfortunate. The location is handy, near key shops and about a 15-minute bike ride from the centre.
