Islington Quarter

Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and the room was spotless, comfortable, and well organized. I had a wonderful stay. It had the flexibility and comfort of Airbnb along with the standards of a boutique hotel.

The studio was clean and comfortable, with tea, coffee, and sugar provided. It had an ensuite bathroom, though there was no shower gel. The steps up to room 4 were extremely steep. The area was really nice, the price very reasonable, and the instructions for entering the building and room were clear. I'd stay again if I were in the area.

My colleague was left waiting for three hours before he could get into his room. I'm glad he happened to meet another guest, so he didn't have to spend all that time outside. Once he finally got in, the room smelled fousty and of old cigarettes. I booked the room for him and the reservation was confirmed, but on arrival he needed an entry code that we hadn't been sent. Another guest let him into the building, only for him to find that he also needed a separate code for his room. I couldn't find contact details for Verv Islington or Booking.com beyond the Booking.com support email form, so there was no way to get live help. After my colleague eventually found a phone number inside and reached someone at Verv, he was told the codes hadn't been sent because we hadn't supplied ID or a security deposit. That was frustrating, since neither Booking.com nor Verv Islington had ever told us those were required. We lost more time sending the requested information once we finally got through.

Bed bug infested rooms, and the place was very dirty. The front foyer was a hazard and just terrible. It was also hard to get any access codes. NEVER EVER STAY HERE.
