The location is excellent, close to plenty of bus and tube stops, UCL, the British Museum, shops, and restaurants. It’s on a quieter street with very little traffic at night. I had a lovely stay at the Jesmond Hotel in a double room with a shared bathroom, and it had everything I needed. There’s a shared bathroom on every floor, so I never had to queue. It was clean, though the shower head was a little old and the water pressure low, which seemed reasonable for an old building on the top floor. Breakfast was tasty and filling, with changes possible on request. It was typical English style, with coffee, juice, water, and milk at the shared table, plus hot meals cooked fresh to order. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The staff were lovely, and breakfast was hearty. The beds were comfy, the room had what I needed, and the WiFi was good. It would have been nice to have shampoo, and the shower water sometimes took a few minutes to warm up. Apart from that, everything was perfect.

If you just need the basics in a good location and want friendly people, this place may suit you, but it wasn't clean enough for me. There was dust in the room corners and on the rug, dirty shelves, and a sewage smell in the bathroom. The tiles need mold removed. Some things also need fixing: the faucet wobbled, and I could feel the wires in the beds. That's why I gave it two stars.

We slept well on the fairly quiet street, and our family room had four twin beds. It was cozy, with some renovations having been done in the past two years. The location worked well for us, just a few blocks from Kings Cross and St Pancras Eurorail station, in a safe area near the university and a hospital. Breakfast was solid, with staff making items when asked and putting care into the meal. They were phenomenal about our requests, and let us leave luggage there while we went sightseeing and while we were away. We found the hotel on Trip Advisor. Vincent was the best, and the staff were truly amazing.

The staff are really nice, but the dust, dirt, and mold were too much to overlook. It was hot and generally unclean, with a clogged drain and a window that wouldn't open. There was no fridge either. I wouldn't stay again.
