JW Marriott Grosvenor House London

The team is fantastic and the hotel’s in a brilliant location. But the cheesecake is the real draw for me, hands down the best I’ve had anywhere. I had five of them over four nights. Whenever I’m back in London, I’ll return just for the cheesecake. Don’t miss it if you’re in Mayfair.

The reception team was welcoming and professional, and the hotel has a great location. But my room went uncleaned for two days in a row, even though I called and left the “please service” sign on the door. I expected housekeeping to be more consistent at a hotel of this standard. I also received four charges I hadn’t authorized for dining. Be careful, avoid dining there or check your bills before checkout. Never trust them.

This was my first stay at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, and it quickly became one of the highlights of my London trip. The place has a calm, elegant feel, and the attentive, warm service made me feel comfortable and looked after throughout. The staff were consistently welcoming and professional, and the hotel played a big part in making the visit memorable. It’ll be my preferred place to stay in London from now on. I look forward to coming back, and would be delighted to receive an upgrade on a future visit if possible.

The rooms at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House are spacious and comfortable, and the property itself is beautiful. Service around the hotel is top notch, just what you’d expect from a place of this caliber. The Red Room is a lovely spot to unwind, with excellent cocktails and service to match. Getting around by public transit was the main inconvenience for us. There isn’t a metro station very close, and if you visit London as often as I do, you know the tube is the most efficient way to get around. The walk to it is fairly long, or you have to rely on street traffic. We also had a strange experience with the executive lounge. The staff are friendly, and we had access, going every day as a family for pre-dinner drinks and snacks. But one morning I wasn’t allowed to take a small croissant upstairs to my sleeping 8-year-old. It felt like an oddly rigid rule after we’d used the lounge without a problem every day.
