I ended up having to find somewhere else to stay after sitting on the floor for an hour. The room code didn’t work, and the outsourced call centre just kept saying they were “checking.” There wasn’t a reception on site, despite the information I’d been given, and they told me to ask another guest for help. I’d requested early check-in and was told it was approved, with reception or a phone call offered as backup. It turned out that confirmation was a lie. I can’t cancel the booking, and all I’ve received are fake apologies. On what was supposed to be my second day, I also got a random Wi-Fi email with the network name and a wrong password.

The room was new, high spec, and very good. Getting in was another story. There are two keypads on the outer door, with no clear indication which to use, and the room keypad only worked on my third attempt. When I came back from an evening out at 11pm, I couldn’t get in at all. I spent 10 minutes in the corridor while the text-only help desk sent me a new code that worked. The man in the next room said it had happened to someone else the week before. They’ve put money into the rooms, but the entry system needs attention. I won’t be back.

The room was filthy, with a really dusty, nasty carpet and dusty dishes. Check-in was late because the room wasn’t ready, and when we did get in, it still hadn’t been cleaned properly. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

The carpets are badly soiled and need cleaning or replacing. The kitchen also needs a better clean and more cooking equipment. The refrigerator door is broken and won’t close, so it needs replacing.
