Le Sorelle

The boat itself was exquisite and luxurious, and Kathy was a wonderful host. We had a lovely breakfast, too. It’s a beautiful place in a great location, right by the train and within walking distance of some fancy places to eat nearby. An incredible experience on this vessel, with beautiful friends.

My friend and I have felt seasick on small boats on the Thames before, so we were a bit worried. There was no need, though. This is a huge, heavy boat and doesn’t rock on the river. The shower was another pleasant surprise, hot and powerful. Le Sorelle feels like a memorable stay, so unlike the soulless, could-be-anywhere hotels around it. It’s beautifully finished and styled, and you can tell the owners and hosts have put a lot of love into it. They made us feel at home as soon as we stepped aboard. We’ll find a reason to come back.

It’s only a few metres from South Quay station on the DLR. The commercial barge on the River Thames has been redone elegantly, with comfortable rooms. Guests share two common spaces, an open-air lounge and a galley sitting area where they serve the included European-style continental breakfast. The bar and wine are self-serve on the honor system.

We came with a big group of friends and had an awesome time. There’s so much space aboard, the boat is huge. The owners and staff are wonderful, kind, and caring. Amazing stay, and I’d absolutely come back. 100% recommend.
