London Olympus Hotel Nirvana

The room was tiny, and so was the shower. The bed was okay, but the shower shampoo was just liquid, so I had to put my hand through it, and there was a hair in it.

The staff really cared about making my stay good and tried to meet my needs. I’d left some food on the table one day, and when the team noticed it while cleaning, they brought a fridge to my room without me asking. It was such a surprise to come back that evening and find it there. The room itself was fine for a budget hotel. Stratford station is nearby and gave me good connections to all the parts of London I visited.

Getting a clean room took a change: the first one had a worn-out mattress, and although the second had a fridge, there was still an egg carton inside it. The sheets were clean, which was good. The location is convenient for Stratford station and the shopping centre. The rest of the room wasn’t kept well. The shower and a cup by the sink were dirty, the fridge was dirty inside and out, and there was a dead fly on the wall above the bed. The carpet had a wet patch when we arrived and wasn’t consistently clean. The street outside was loud, and the windows barely blocked it. While we were still getting ready to leave, the cleaner insisted on coming in to clean.

The price was the main highlight, it was quite cheap. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was decent. Our room was fairly clean and spacious, but the bathroom was quite small. It could also get pretty noisy at night. An okay stay.
