London Town Hotel

We slept peacefully at night, and the room felt spacious and well managed. Almost all the staff were nice. The hotel was as clean and nice as it looked in the photos, though we’d been unsure at first because there weren’t many recent ones. It’s in a great spot, close to the Tube and lots of grocery shops and places to eat. The old lift gave us a scare: while we were inside, it suddenly displayed “out of service” and only opened after reaching the first floor. I told a staff member, but his reply that this happens all the time felt dismissive, given the possible safety concern.

My favorite things were the pretty back patio and the lounge on the third floor. Breakfast was good, and the room has a TV with Netflix, Prime, and other services. If you need an iron and ironing board, just ask at reception. The room was cozy and clean, with everything needed for a short stay, and the bathroom was spacious and clean too. It got a bit hot without AC, but there’s a desk fan. The hotel’s in a nice area with lots of other hotels and near the Tube. I stayed solo for two nights in August for a concert, had a lovely time, and got quick replies to my questions before booking. Great value for money. For a 3-star hotel, it’s amazing, a hidden gem.

We could leave our bags there after checkout while we explored more of London before our evening train. We also arrived early and stored our luggage, which was taken to our room and waiting when we eventually checked in. The front desk staff were wonderful, every one of them, and the morning breakfast was simple but adequate with a friendly host. We spent three nights in July 2024. Very good value for the price, and I’d recommend it.

There’s no restaurant or bar, but we used the shared lounge’s microwave and tea and coffee facilities. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff were pleasant. The hotel is on a quiet road off Earls Court Road, just a five-minute walk from the Tube, so it’s a great base.
