Maitrise Suites Apartment Hotel

The location is wonderful, and the staff were more than willing to help, but this place needs major renovation. This was my third visit, and each time it seemed worse. I switched apartments three times because of the noise, and I could clearly hear footsteps from the room above, sometimes thinking people were in our apartment. The internet wouldn't connect on either of my devices. Several things didn't work: the washing machine, oven and toilet lights. The toilet had no window, and the carpet by the sofa was both dirty and wet. The lift was out when we arrived after a power outage. The receptionist said the staff couldn't get it running again and the maintenance company didn't bother to come. Not every room is clean, so check yours before staying.

The staff were really nice and helpful, with good suggestions for routes and places to visit. For the price, the room and service were very good, especially compared with hotels at the same rate closer to downtown that have shared bathrooms. There's a tasty free breakfast at the diner beside the hotel, and restaurants all around, with a 24-hour grocery store across the street. Central London takes about 30-45 minutes by bus and underground, so the journey does take a while.

We were a family of four visiting London for a weekend holiday, and we were very satisfied with the hotel and its service. The front office was especially courteous. Our rooms were spacious and clean, and it was quiet at night, so we all got a good night's sleep. We'd definitely recommend it for small families.

I was here on business for five days, and the service and amenities were top-notch. My flight got in at 07:00, and the concierge let me check in early. There was an issue with the bathtub faucet, but they sorted it quickly and upgraded me to a suite. The Wi-Fi could've been better, though. It was slow and sluggish at times.
